It is our commitment to improving health through responsible business.
Novartis collaborates with others to help address some of the world’s greatest challenges. We focus our corporate responsibility work on two areas that underscore our mission of caring and curing: expanding access to healthcare and doing business responsibly.
Expanding Access to Healthcare
We are committed to bringing more of our medicines to more people, no matter where they are. For all our new medicines, we systematically integrate access strategies in how we research, develop and deliver globally. This will be a key measure of success for our leaders and employees.
Doing Business Responsibly
We are committed to creating a culture of integrity and demonstrate ethical leadership – because as a global leader in healthcare, we have a responsibility to serve as a role model in how we conduct our business.
Sustainability is another key priority. We are working to reduce emissions, water consumption, waste, and aim to cut greenhouse gas emissions 30% by 2020.
Novartis supports the philanthropic spirit of the organization worldwide and promotes widespread social responsibility through various volunteering programs and opportunities.
Each year our employees engage in Community Partnership Day and various fundraising events throughout the year focusing on raising awareness of medical conditions and giving back to the community.
The Novartis global Malaria Initiative is one of the industry’s largest access-to-medicines programs, providing 500 million treatments without profit to more than 60 malaria endemic countries, including Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
As part of your graduate experience we are excited to learn about your ideas on giving back to society.
